My air conditioner keeps my room nice and cold. Love the portable aspect of it!.. no need to damage a wall of house or apartment. It cooled room off within 5 minutes, so I am very happy with it.

My window is 29" wide, thus met the specification of at least 26.6". I slid the extension piece to the left to fit. To my dismay, the vent opening was blocked by about 7" of the right end of the extension piece. I called your Customer Service, but they said they could not help with installation and to call who I bought it from. The Home Depot man agreed with me that I had to saw off at least 7" of the extension piece. This is a serious omission from you Installation Guide. The Guide does say that you can make the Window Kit work in a window less than 26.6" by sawing off some of the piece containing the vent hole.

Seriously disappointed. Died after one season in a region where it is used less than 2 months out of the year due to a common flaw with this device, P1 error code. Worst Frigidaire would not honor my warranty. It died within the first year and I registered the device when I received and installed the device. Stay away from the Model FHPC082AC1 8000 btu unit.

Easy to assemble. Does a wonderful job cooling the bedroom and is pretty quiet! My only issue was with the power cord placement. It's on the right side of the unit and barely reaches my outlet which is to the left of my window. I wish the cord was on the center back of the unit.

Let me be clear. I am a big fan of Frigidaire products. I own a Frigidaire refrigerator, mini fridge, chest freezer, water dispenser, microwave and toaster. I wanted to give this product a 5 star rating, but couldn't because of the install process. I had a difficult time properly attaching the vent hose to the plastic pieces that clip onto the unit and the window piece. It could have been user error, although I've had much better luck installing other AC units. Other than that, the AC unit does a wonderful job cooling off the room. I still recommend this brand and this product.

I purchased this unit at PC Richards. The salesman told me this unit will only cool down a small room. To my surprise, this unit cooled down a room double it's size. I highly recommend purchasing this unit. I actually had to lower the setting because it was to cold lol!!!

works okay, it says perfect for a small bedroom at 150 sq feet which is my bedroom yet at night time it short cycles. i rarely use ac at night but when i have to its constantly flipping on and off all night and sometimes i think it gets tired because it shuts off altogether. works great during the day though.

I wish it had a lower fan speed, even the low setting is still fairly loud. I also wish Frigidaire made an even smaller unit. Don™™t need one as big as 8k btu. Otherwise it gets the job done.

This unit worked great and cooled well. However we wanted to use it in our bedroom overnight, and it kept shutting off periodically and waking us up. When I went to return it (within our return window), the return experience was terrible. The service rep was helpful and did all she could, but they're lacking policy that provides a fair customer experience. I was not told that UPS would need to pick up the unit from my house, and they came during working hours when we are not at home. Poor communication from both Frigidaire and UPS made it so that by the time we had the unit packed up and ready for pickup, it was too late. Frigidaire said they would not provide another return label and that returning the unit was on my dime, which would have been over $140. Please do better to help your customers!

I wake up sweating because this product shuts itself off on its own when though it has manual fan speeds. If I set it to high I expect the fan to run high all night not just shut off when it wants. That is the main reason I purchased this unit. If I am don™™t anything wrong please let me know. I have read that the manual and cannot find what I am doing wrong. It only earned the second star because it cools down nicely when it doesn™™t turn off on its own. I have only had this unit for a month™¦ disappointment customer.

Our new place doesn™™t fit our 12 year old window ac, so we had to upgrade to this Frigidaire. We are LOVING it. I messed up a bit and didn™™t measure the window properly and the slats are too long (my fault) so we™™re taped with cardboard until we get the slat situation sorted. But even with only CARDBOARD it™™s cooling the room down SO MUCH! Couldn™™t recommend enough.

I purchased two, they do okay at cooling. They're very loud, even on low. Both of them have a rattling sound. The controller rarely works and is only effective from around 5 ft away.

I took my time checking out all my air conditioner options. I have a pretty small bedroom and putting an a/c unit in my window was not an option. I choose this Frigidaire unit because it is small, had more power than others for a small space, it was a good price and had great reviews.

This unit beat the competition in pricing, was from a brand I trust, and was shipped and quickly received. It cools my small room of 110 sq. ft. in a desert environment so well that I do not need it to run for an extended period. This room is the hottest in the house and has always been an issue for its occupant, but no more.

I had a small space to place one of these portable air conditioners in my astronomy control room in a third bedroom in my house. The room is small, and I needed this sized unit for the space. Therefore, my new Frigidaire portable air conditioner is a perfect fit. The installation was straight forward and easy to follow. I did not have any issues completing the installation. I decided to go with the portable air conditioner after I discovered that the window air conditioner, I bought the side curtains did not cover the sides. I now have three of these portable air conditioners in my home that does not have central air conditioning. These are a great option given similar situations and I can highly recommend the Frigidaire portable air conditioner!

Product works great. There is noise when the AC turns on and off, but for me it™™s not that bad. I use this when I sleep and sometimes during the day. Other than needing a hacksaw, the install wasn™™t too hard.

I bought this portable air conditioner due to price, features and of course, the brand! I have the Frigidaire Gallery kitchen appliances in stainless steel and love them! I actually got a better deal from Frigidaire than Amazon and received it faster. At first due to the extreme heat in Los Angeles, the a/c wouldn™™t stay on, but once I switched to high cool from auto the wonderful cooling began. A caster wheel was broke and the hose leaked a little hot air but not enough to interfere with cooling. I believe Frigidaire will fix this problem. A health saver.

Unit had electrical issues from the start. Turning off, switching from cool to fan, then after a couple months, started generating 2 gallons of water every night while on ™cool™, not dry. Never was capable of cooling the size room it says it should. Replaced under warranty. Hoping second unit is better.

Works as expected. Installation was a little challenging for a vertical sliding window but I made it work with a minor adjustment. I was surprised how much water collects and needs to be emptied daily. Twice or sometimes more on humid days. Cannot leave it on if I don't have time to monitor and empty collection.

Bought the unit for my kid™™s room because her room has the lowest airflow from the central air. Good size and power for the size of her room, and it cools the room in less than 10 minutes. My only complain is that it does have a slightly louder humming noise and that the window attachment does not work well with our new Andersen window, so we had to improvise a bit.

We purchased the Frigidaire model #FHPC0821AC to combat the summer heat in our upstairs master bedroom. This Frigidaire was easy to setup, including venting the supplied exhaust hose through one of the bedroom windows. Everything we needed was included in the box, and took less than 30min to complete the installation. The unit works perfectly, quickly cooling the 350sf master bedroom. Our desired sleep tempature is 68degrees, and this unit easily maintains this temperature throughout the evening and early morning hours. This Frigidaire is perfect for us. We are sleeping much better, waking up refreshed, ready to takle whatever the day has in store for us. Most portable A/C units make loud clunky sounds as the compressor kicks on/off, but not the Frigidaire, its quiet as it cycles to maintain temperature. Out of the package, the window kit was cracked and once connected the swing feature does not work. It works ok otherwise, a bit loud for a bedroom even on low fan setting. I like that it has a smaller footprint than my previous model also a Frigidaire. The vent window kit is not easily reversible, left or right side of window,like my old one was. It cools well enough, I cool room prior to bedtime and turn it off.
