Great microwave fits my cabinet fantastic looking stainless steel trim

This replaced a GE microwave it fits our cabinet, this Frigidaire is much nicer and bigger and just fits in the tight cabinet space.The stainless steel trim looks fantastic and the air vents are smartly designed so you don't get ugly slots in the trim like other brands. Congratulations Frigidaire.If it breaks my review reverts to a lower number but for now it's fantastic, more power than the last microwave, and intelligently designed. I was looking at Panasonic but there is interfere with Wi-Fi a known issue and you have to push more buttons to make it work. Because of the smaller cabinet I had very few options, and I don't want a microwave that has convection heating built-in because people are used to microwaves for example put a piece of paper over the food to prevents ladder, and a convection that catches on fire so everybody that uses microwaves with conduction needs to be trained to be careful. If I want convection heating in the microwave I'll buy a special ceramic microwave dish or pan, but I think those have hot spots that can damage the microwave if not careful so why bother keep it simple. Some of the downside stainless steel is always prone to fingerprints evenly the door gets fingerprints but that's my family, the touch buttons are sometimes difficult you have to press for the soft part of your finger although that's true of most touch buttons I press a number and after a 1/2 second delay the microwave starts for that many minutes no need to press start, that's something some manufactures can fix with programmang to make life more convenient but don't (Panasonic). I actually liked the delay because I don't want to be near the microwave when it pulses on I don't want to be near a turn on burst of radiation .. there are two things that protect you with a microwave, how far away you are from the microwave and the metal Faraday cage. In those food in the door and there's a small leaks the Faraday cage doesn't protect you, but the inverse square law always just step back.The trim kit is expensive but not price gouge expensive considering all the venting is designed in and as mentioned looks fantastic, its not as flush as others but it's absolutely perfectly fine. I could get a countertop microwave for much lower cost, but built-in is what I am lucky enough to have.

I purchased a new home with the Frigidaire 1.6 Cu. Ft. Built-in Microwave (and three other Frigidaire Appliances). The appliances are fine and I have not had any issues with the appliances. I decided to purchase the five year protection plan with each appliance. After doing this online, I thought everything was fine and the charges went through on my credit card. After about a month and a half, I had not received the contracts in the mail so I called customer service. They had no record of any protection plan being purchased. After some research, I was told that they changed systems and my purchase did not transfer over. They submitted the ticket and I was told everything would be tanked care of. After waiting another three weeks, still no contract in the mail, so I called customer service again. Apparently my ticket was submitted to the wrong location and had I not called, this would most likely never have been resolved. Also requested a supervisor call me back, after the first call and that never happened. Very disappointing to spend money, and be told there is no record of that ever happening even though I have email confirmations for the transactions. Maybe I'm naive, but I just expect a company like Frigidaire or Electrolux to have better computer systems and better customer service.

30 year old built in cabinet

We have ordered multiple microwaves, and had to return them because published dimensions were inaccurate and microwave would not fit. Not only did the microwave and trim kit fit but the performance is excellent. The trim kit mounting bracket could be a little bit better thought out as the mounting screws line up with the cut out and can not anchor to the cabinet.

I have only used to defrost and warm things up but am happy so far. Would like the option to set a time for defrost as well as pounds like my prior Frigidaire microwave. I™€™m not always defrosting meat. I am still learning so maybe there is a way to do that. It is a good size and am overall pleased. .

Perfect replacement for my Whirlpool

I have a limited built in space for my microwave. My Whirlpool, which was maybe 5 years old, finally quit working. In looking at options for replacement, I found this Frigidaire unit that looks exactly like the Whirlpool down to the base where the studs on the base fit into my existing metal support. It took all of 5 minutes for installation and couldn't be happier with its performance so far.
