**Frigidaire Air Conditioners: A Nightmare of Poor Service and Unfulfilled Promises**I purchased two Frigidaire air conditioning units™"one large and one small™"six months ago for a total of $1,000, which included installation. Little did I know that this purchase would become an expensive nightmare. Before I even got to use the units, I had to pay extra to upgrade my apartment's electrical system to handle the voltage. Then, after the electrician's work, I had to hire a painter to patch up the holes left behind. At this point, I had already invested far more than I had anticipated.Fast forward to about four months after installation, both air conditioners began emitting a terrible, foul smell. At first, it was faint, but by the end of the week, it had become unbearable. The smell resembled that of a dead animal and, to make matters worse, both units were on separate sides of the apartment. I contacted the building's superintendent, who cleaned both units to the best of his ability, but found nothing out of the ordinary. He checked for mold, wiring issues™"nothing. So, I reached out to customer service. The customer service rep at PC Richard™™s, where I bought the units, directed me to Frigidaire, as the units were still under warranty. I submitted a warranty claim and was promptly contacted the next day. I was told both air conditioners would be replaced and installed within 7™10 business days. A week later, no word. When I called for an update, I was told there was no clear timeline for delivery. A few more days passed, and the same response came™"call back in a few days. At this point, I was not only frustrated, but severely sleep-deprived. My wife and I had been struggling with the heat, as we couldn't open the windows due to ongoing construction and dust outside. The apartment became unbearable. After nearly three weeks of waiting, I finally got a call from Frigidaire saying the smaller unit would be delivered the next day. I arranged to take the day off work, despite the strain it put on me financially. But, as you might expect, the unit didn't arrive. I spent the entire day waiting, and by 6 p.m. there was still no sign of the delivery. I called customer service, only to be told they had no access to my order status. I asked for an update, a supervisor, anything, but I was met with stonewalling at every turn. No one at the company seemed to have any information. I was told that the delivery service would contact me directly™"and I was given no contact details for them. It was like talking to a brick wall.Days turned into weeks, and now, as I sit here on Christmas Eve at 2 a.m., still unable to sleep in the oppressive heat, I™™m convinced that Frigidaire has utterly failed in their duty to deliver the service they promised. My family is about to experience the worst Christmas ever, stuck in a hot apartment with no relief in sight. I™™ve been lied to multiple times, lost wages, and experienced nothing but frustration. To make matters worse, the lack of accountability from Frigidaire has been staggering. No one in the company seems to have access to information about orders or the delivery service. They don™™t offer any meaningful solutions and certainly don™™t honor their warranty commitments. I™™m beyond the point of hoping for any resolution. The whole ordeal has been an exercise in futility, and I™™m now forced to look into legal options. If you™™re looking for reliable products and a company that stands behind their warranties, look elsewhere. This has been a frustrating, costly, and ultimately disappointing experience. P.S I have set up meetings with some lawyers and hope to talk them in the next week. In the meantime anyone have any advice?
